My foster parent(s) describe me as:

I have a heart of gold, I am such a sweet and loving boy. I'm not your typical high energy puppy. I am pretty low key and chill. I love to play hard when I do play. I would benefit from a confident pack leader. I have worked hard on gaining my confidence and I'm not as fearful as I used to be, but I will require patience. That patience will be rewarding with lots of LOVE and cuddles.

My best day would be to:

Being fed by 7 am, running around the yard with my dog friends followed by a nap in the sun, then a nap inside. Going for a 1 mile walk everyday around 5pm, eating dinner around 6 pm, playing with my dog friends again and sleep through the night. Basically eat, play, nap a lot, and repeat!

Other tidbits about me:

Cody is the sweetest boy, very loving! He has to have a "safe place" to seek refuge when he is scared or overwhelmed. He loves to lay in the master bedroom closet. He's good with large dogs, both male and female, but he plays too rough for small dogs. Not sure about cats. He needs to be in a home with older kids (15yrs and above). He does not do well with younger children with their unpredictable behavior (rough play, loud banging, running, etc.), it makes him anxious, and he will bark and become fearful. He is not food aggressive but will take food from other dogs. He is very treat motivated. Cody is great with visitors, so long as they don’t rush an introduction, he requires slow intros. Cody walks great on a leash and is not reactive to other dogs. Cody knows how to use the doggie door. He loves laying on the bed, but will listen when you say, "Cody off". Hard toys are best, unless you want stuffing and cloth all over!!! Cody knows the commands "walk on", "wait", "sit" and "down".
